Offline Games

Privacy Policy

For the “Offline Games” app and this website · Last updated: 6 August 2026

The short version: the app collects, stores and transmits no personal data. It opens no network connection — everything you do in the app stays on your device.

1. Controller

The controller under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:

Alexander Steffens
Karlsruher Str. 36
23568 Lübeck
Germany
Email: app-support@steffens-software.de

2. Data the app processes

The app processes no personal data. There is no user account, no sign-in, no registration, no analytics or telemetry, no advertising, and no third-party libraries that transmit anything.

On your device, the app stores the following — locally only, inside its own sandboxed container:

This data never leaves the device, and I as the developer have no access to it. Deleting the app deletes it. If it is included in a device backup (iCloud Backup or a backup to a computer), Apple's terms and your own backup settings govern that copy.

3. No network connection

The app contains no code that connects to the internet. It likewise requests no permissions for location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos or notifications.

4. Distribution through the App Store

Downloading and installing happens through the App Store, where Apple processes data as its own controller — your Apple Account details and the fact of the download, for instance. I have no influence over that; Apple's privacy policy applies.

In App Store Connect I see aggregated, anonymous statistics only, such as download counts per country. They cannot be traced back to individuals.

If you have opted in under Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements → Share with App Developers, Apple makes anonymised crash and performance reports for this app available to me. You give that consent to Apple and can withdraw it there at any time.

5. Contacting me by email

If you write to me, I process your email address and the content of your message solely to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering enquiries). Messages are deleted once they are no longer needed and no statutory retention period applies. They are not passed on to third parties.

6. This website

This website sets no cookies and embeds no web fonts, maps, videos or third-party scripts. No usage measurement takes place.

When you open a page, the hosting provider [name and registered office of the host] processes technically necessary access data in server log files: IP address, date and time, the address requested, volume of data transferred, referrer and browser identification. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure, trouble-free operation). The data is deleted after a short period and is not combined with other sources.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21). Use the address above to exercise them.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).

In practice, using the app leaves me holding nothing these rights could apply to — no data is collected at all.

8. Children

The app is suitable for all ages and safe for children to use: it collects no data, shows no advertising, contains no in-app purchases and no outbound links.

9. Changes to this policy

Should the app ever change so that it does process data, this policy will be updated beforehand. The date above shows the current revision.
